#1 Place it near your cat pees (or at that place)
See which place they loved to pee the most. Most cats have their own special place to pee. You can put a litter box there to make sure they pee inside that box, not on your carpet.
#2 If possible, confine your cat in a place you have litter box ready
Don't let the cat play around too much because they might pee somewhere where you don't have the litter box ready.
#3 Not one, but three litter box.
